Md. Ragib Nizam has cemented his status as a notable
writer in Bengali Literature. Beyond his literary contributions, he’s a
passionate Social Activist, a skilled Lyrics writer, and a
musically attuned individual who occasionally sings. His innovative spirit
shines through as a Comic Writer, recognized as the "Superhero
Professor" and revered as the "Father of Bangladeshi
Superheroes."
His birth in 1985,
during the foundational period of Bangladesh, placed him within a literature
family, fostering a deep appreciation for storytelling. He honed his skills
by immersing himself in children and teen-based literature and comics.
The classic Tin Goyenda series captivated his youth, and he continues to
draw inspiration from Masud Rana.
Ragib's
creative process is distinct; he often envisions his superheroes entirely in
his imagination. This singular approach contributes to his unique and
recognizable writing style. His genre preferences are broad, encompassing Superhero
Fiction, Thriller, Revenge Thriller, High-fantasy, Bengali Classic horror, and
Urban Horror.
His impressive
bibliography includes 4 books, 14 e-books, 11 online series, and various
comic books. He started writing in 2011, with his initial piece
appearing in an Eid special edition of a daily newspaper. The year 2013
was transformative, as he decided to focus on thrillers, leading directly to
the inception of the Bangladesh Superhero Universe (BDSU).
The
significance of the BDSU is evident, as it's been featured on numerous online
research sites. Furthermore, its dedicated wiki community, available
in both English and Bengali, speaks volumes about its burgeoning popularity.
